RCC PIPES

Overview

Reinforced Cement Concrete Pipes (RCC Pipes) is what we have started with. Owing to its properties of high tensile strength, leak-proof nature, durability, and low maintenance, Cement pipes have a wide range of applications in the construction Industry. And to help you with the best quality, we at Shubh Sanskar offer a broad range of RCC Hume Pipes. The extensive process of making happens with a team of the best engineers working towards the perfection of the product. We manufacture RCC pipes as per the IS 458:2021 Standard.  Before the product reaches you, it goes through multiple tests including hydrostatic test, Three-edge bearing test, and permeability tests so that you get the best quality delivered.

Call us today to find out more about RCC Pipes which will help you make the most out of your construction business.

Types Of RCC Pipes

NP2 rcc pipe

NP2 Class RCC Pipes

NP2 class cement pipes are light-duty pipes commonly used for drainage systems, irrigation networks, and culverts that experience lighter traffic or lower soil pressures. Their thickness varies from 25 MM to 55 MM for 150 MM dia to 900 MM dia respectively. For sizes greater than 900 MM Dia, NP2 Pipes tend to develop cracks as thickness is very less so for bigger diameter pipes NP3 and NP4 pipes are preferred.

Applications of NP2 RCC Pipes

Common applications of NP2 pipes include residential drainage, agricultural fields, and small infrastructure projects.

NP3 Class RCC Pipes

NP3 class hume pipes are medium-duty pipes with higher strength, suitable for applications that require the pipes to withstand medium vehicular loads, such as highways, major roadways, and industrial areas. For NP3 rcc pipes, the thickness varies from 25MM to 215MM for 150MM Dia to 2600MM Dia respectively.

Applications of NP3 Cement Pipes

NP3 Hume pipes are typically used for Medium drainage applications, such as main roads, highways, commercial projects and industrial areas.

NP4 rcc pipe

NP4 Class RCC Pipes

NP4 class RCC Hume pipes are designed to be more resilient and can endure greater pressure and traffic, making them suitable for areas with heavy usage and higher soil pressure. Although Thickness of NP3 and NP4 pipes are same, the strength of NP4 pipes is way more than that of NP3 hume pipes.

Applications of NP4 RCC Pipes

NP4 Class RCC pipes are commonly used for large applications, such as highway, airport, and industrial site, where higher load-bearing capacity is required.

Ensuring quality at every step

At Shubh Sanskar Concrete, we are committed in delivering cement pipes of highest quality. During our manufacturing process, from procurement of raw materials to the final product, rigorous tests and quality checks are performed by our team of experts ensuring only the RCC Spun pipes of highest quality reaches the customer. All checks conform to IS 458:2021 standards.

Raw Materials Selection and Testing

The first step involves carefully procuring the raw materials, which include stone grit, cement, dust, and steel bars from trusted vendors. Every batch undergoes comprehensive testing procedures ensuring it lives up to our high standards. To ensure the quality and strength of our raw materials, we also acquire test certificates from the source. Our focus on quality starts right from the selection of raw materials, ensuring that only the best materials are used for manufacturing of Cement pipes.

Pre-Production Process Preparation

Before casting, we thoroughly lubricate our moulds and inspect them for any deformities to ensure flawless pipe formation. We carefully weigh and place steel reinforcement in moulds. Our experienced team than prepares the concrete mortar mix according to M35 design specifications. This meticulous preparation ensures that our spun pipes are strong, durable, and able to withstand various environmental conditions.

Production Process

Once the concrete mixture is ready, and the moulds are ready for production, casting of RCC Hume pipes takes place through spinning process inside these moulds. After casting, we allow the pipes to cure for a day before demoulding them. The pipes are then transferred to curing tanks, where they remain for a period of seven days for curing, this process ensures concrete develops proper strength.

Stocking

After the curing process is complete, the pipes are transferred to stocking yard. Here, they are marked and stacked. Stocking is done such that hume pipes are stored in safe and organized manner, ready for delivery to our customers when needed.

Quality Testing

From each lot, randomly a sample is selected and various test are performed in accordance to IS 458:2021 ensuring quality and strength of RCC cement pipes. These tests include:

  • Visual Inspection and Physical Test: Verifying concrete pipes are of proper dimensions and free from cracks, breakage and irregularities.
  • Hydrostatic Pressure Test: To assess the cement pipe’s ability to withstand internal pressure.
  • Three Edge Bearing Test: It determines the load-bearing capacity of the concrete pipe.
  • Permeability Test: To assess the permeability of the pipe so that no harmful gases or liquids penetrate through the pipes.

These tests are conducted according to IS 458: 2021 guidelines. By following these stringent testing procedures, we guarantee that our Hume pipes meets the highest quality standards and are suitable for a wide range of applications.

Cement Pipes Maintenance Guide

RCC cement pipes are durable and long-lasting, but like any other infrastructure, they require checks and maintenance at regular intervals so that the RCC pipeline works at optimal performance and longevity. Follow these guidelines for the longevity of RCC pipes:

  1. Inspect Regularly: Always Conduct regular inspections of RCC Hume pipes to check for any damage, cracks, or leaks. Early detection can help in preventing larger issues from developing.
  2. Clean Debris: Remove debris, or blockages from the pipes so that proper flow is maintained, thus preventing clogging of Hume pipes.
  3. Check Surroundings: Ensure that the area around the Hume pipes is free from any obstructions or heavy objects that could damage the pipes. Trim vegetation and remove roots that may penetrate the pipes.
  4. Monitor Water Quality: If Hume pipes are used for water supply, monitor the quality of the water regularly. Check for discoloration, odor, or taste change, as it might be due to pipe corrosion or contamination.
  5. Repair Cracks and Leaks: Promptly repair any cracks, leaks, or damage to the pipes which may appear over time. Repairing RCC Spun Pipes is also very easy, just by applying a paste of concrete mix can easily repair the pipe.
  6. Maintain Proper Slope: During installation ensure that proper slope is given so  that water doesn’t stand inside the pipes, preventing it from corrosion, leakage and damages.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure Hume pipe culvert remain in good condition and continue to perform effectively for years to come.
